this wheel-thrown bowl is made of white stoneware clay. it is glazed in satin white with a crescent dip in gray-blue, creating a growing moon in the night sky appearance. the thin and thicker layers of the gray-blue glaze is responsible for the pale purple appearance as well as white speckling on the rim which complements the dark speckling coming through the satin white glazing.
