• whether wheel-thrown or hand-built, each piece is made and glazed by me, and no two pieces are exactly alike. after the bisque firing, everything is finished in a gas reduction kiln that reaches about 2400°f, giving each piece its strength, durability, and character.

i do my best to show accurate dimensions, colors, and the unique details of every piece in the photos.

  • all of my pieces are safe for everyday use unless otherwise noted for dried goods or decorative purposes. i work exclusively with high-fire clay and glaze my work with non-toxic, food-safe high-fire glazes.

each piece is fired either in a gas reduction kiln or a soda fire kiln. most soda-fired pieces have an interior liner glaze. if a piece isn’t glazed inside, the clay body is still fully vitrified at high temperature, making it non-porous and safe for dry or decorative use.
if an item is not intended for direct food contact, i’ll note that clearly in the listing.

  • hand washing is encouraged, but truthfully? i dishwash my own pieces all the time. all items are dishwasher and microwave safe unless otherwise noted.

each piece is sanded on the bottom, but like any ceramic surface, it may still scratch softer surfaces — so a little care goes a long way.
