rustic yet chic!

this wheel-thrown bowl is made of dark red stoneware clay. it is glazed in satin white that appears more like a soft sandy yellow through the red clay body. when doing single color glazing, i’m quite pleased that the iron in the clay contributes to the character of the piece, through speckling, that i feel would otherwise be missing.

it measures 2 inches tall and and is slightly over 9 inches across
