the deepening sea – this spoon rest keeps your countertops and stove tidy

this wheel-thrown spoon rest is made of high-fire stoneware/porcelain mixed clay. it combines some of my favorite blues: a soft translucent gray-blue beside a brighter rutile blue. along the rim, the rutile glaze breaks to a warm tan, gently separating the layers of blue.
