this wheel-thrown mug is made from a high-fire porcelain/stoneware blend and finished in a clear glaze that lets the natural white clay shine. a cedar branch was pressed into the surface and coated with blue mason–stained slip, leaving a detailed botanical imprint that wraps around the mug like a little forest band.
the wide shape gives it a grounded, comforting feel — great for tea, coffee, or anything you want to linger over. the handle has a soft inward curve underneath, offering a bit more space for an easier, more accessible grip. the whole piece rests on a wide, easygoing base that tucks into a tiny foot — light on its toes but wonderfully steady.
