this wheel-thrown mug is made of dark red stoneware clay. the exterior features satin white glazing, a thin coat that is more sandy in color and then a thick coat near the rim, interior, and handle. the base is glazed in the opposite angle with a peekaboo segment of bare clay. there’s something comfortingly nostalgic about the thick bands of coloring and speckling, it’s just a retro charmer!
