fall mug season forever
this wheel-thrown mug is made from a high-fire porcelain/stoneware blend and glazed in clear allowing the white clay body to shine through. around the outside, maple leaves were pressed into the clay and coated with a blue mason–stained slip (clay and water mixture). when the slip dried, the leaves were peeled away, leaving their delicate impressions and a soft blue halo — a subtle, watercolor-style bleed that wraps the mug in a leafy band.
the handle includes a small inward curve beneath it, providing easy room for multiple fingers and a relaxed hold. light throw lines and natural speckles in the clay add character, making this mug feel familiar the moment you pick it up. a softly flared base narrows into my signature low foot, giving the mug a grounded feel with a light profile.
