this wheel-thrown mug is made from high-fire dark stoneware clay, giving the whole piece a grounded, earthy feel. the interior and upper exterior are glazed in a bright, softened white, with a gentle dip of cornflower blue circling the middle. where that blue meets the bare clay at the base, it shifts into a warm, vintage leather brown with natural speckling from the iron in the clay.
