this wheel-thrown mug has such a clean, graphic presence. it’s made from high-fire dark stoneware clay which gives the whole piece a quiet depth beneath the glaze. the interior is glazed in bright white, with the darker clay body giving the color a slightly softened tone.

the exterior has an angled dip glaze in gray-blue, laid over the white in a soft diagonal. where the blue glaze overlaps the white, it settles into a soft steel-blue. where it sits directly on the darker clay body, it shifts toward a rich, earthy green. the iron speckling adds a quiet, natural visual detail as the light moves across the surface.

the silhouette broadens near the base, then resolves in a compact foot that keeps the piece centered and steady. the handle has a gentle curve that invites an easy grip — something that just feels intuitive in the hand for daily use.
