laceleaf lovely!

this wheel-thrown mug is made from a blend of high-fire porcelain/stoneware clay that feels smooth in the hand. a laceleaf maple was pressed into the leather-hard clay, then filled with a soft green mason-stain slip to bring out the fine edges of each leaf. once the impression dried, a whisper of iron oxide was brushed across the details, adding warmth and dimension before the clear glaze sealed everything in place.

the silhouette has a gentle flare at the base before tapering in toward a hidden foot, giving the mug quiet stability while keeping the profile visually light. the handle has a comfortable width that works well across hand sizes, and the little indentation beneath it gives extra space for an easy, confident grip.high-fire porcelain/stoneware blend clay
