mug #21

$34.00
1 available

fun with shapes!

this wheel-thrown mug is made of dark stoneware clay. getting a bit experimental here—the form was altered by running a rib upward at an angle, removing clay in a single sweeping motion. once fired, the mug was stained with black iron oxide and finished with a bright white glaze. the result is textural and earthy, capturing the feeling of movement in the moment it was made.

the handle is slightly wider than my usual, giving easy room for a comfortable, relaxed grip. and like many of my forms, the mug settles into a wider base that gently narrows to a small, trimmed foot—visually light, yet steady and grounded on the table.

measurements:
just over 3½ inches (H)
capacity: holds 13 fluid ounces
weight: approx. 11 ounces (empty)

additional details:
• created for daily use
• dishwasher safe
• microwave safe
• food safe & lead/cadmium free pottery
• handmade in washington, usa
