this wheel-thrown mug is made of dark stoneware clay which is stretched with sodium silicate creating soft crackling on the exterior body that is highlighted with black iron oxide and then gently polished. the interior and top exterior is glazed with a thick coat of satin white that is stark and smooth in comparison to the gentle texturing to the dark clay.

it measures just under 3 ½ inches tall; it holds 13oz
