rustic charm!

this wheel-thrown mug is made of dark stoneware clay which is stretched with sodium silicate creating soft crackling on the exterior body that is highlighted with black iron oxide and then gently polished. the interior and top exterior is glazed in a satin white that is more sandy in color. iron in the clay body creates speckling seen through the glaze and completes the unassuming charm of the mug! i’m such a fan of the white glazing fading into the crackling texture, a middle area merging smooth with fractured.

it measures just under 3 ½ inches tall; it holds 16oz
