winter fresh!
this wheel-thrown mug is made from a porcelain/stoneware mixed clay and glazed in one of my favorite combinations: a calm band of cornflower blue drifting into bright white. the line where they meet has a natural bit of movement from the firing, giving the surface a gentle, cloudlike shift. there’s a calm yet brisk quality with these glazes — they always makes me think of winter light and that clean, crisp feeling in the air.
the form is smooth and easy to hold, and the handle offers just a bit of extra room for your fingers so the grip feels naturally steady. beneath the handle, the body is gently indented inward to give your knuckles more space. the wide base adds extra stability on the table — a small but reassuring detail. this mug features a small comfort detail beneath the handle where the wall eases inward, giving your fingers a bit of extra room and a naturally relaxed grip. the handle has comfortable space for a 3–4-finger hold.
