cool, minty green!
this wheel-thrown jar is made of a mix of dark and white stoneware clay. the jar is glazed in celadon and features texturing both on the body and lid, called chattering. the jar is formed from one single piece of clay, it is split when leather hard and trimmed so that the separate pieces fit nicely.
in the grooves where the clay has been cut out from the walls, the celadon glaze is present creating a gorgeous blend of bare clay and minty green coloring. this jar is perfect in the kitchen to hold salt, herbs, or other dried goods!
measurements: with lid and basin just over 5¾” H x just under 4½” W; basin alone measures just under 3¼” H
