this wheel-thrown jar is made of dark stoneware clay. the jar is glazed in satin white, due to the clay body, the glaze appears off-white in color. where the glaze is slightly heavy, carbon trapping occurred (soot from the firing) that looks like the word “you”. i am a fan of the carbon trapping, it’s an unexpected addition that gives character to the jar. iron in the clay speckles the satin white, completing the rustic charm. tea bags, dried goods, toiletries and more are suitable for this container!

measurements: with lid and basin just over 3½” H x just over 4½” W; basin alone measures just under 3” H
