this wheel-thrown holder is made of high-fire dark stoneware clay and is glazed entirely in bright white. the holder is suitable for sponges, bar soap, or napkins. it has cutouts that allow items to rest on and dry as needed, preventing unpleasant odors or sloppage on the countertops. the saucer and holder are created as one piece and i love the peek-a-boo bare clay lines at the base of the cup that drain towards the saucer.
