this wheel-thrown holder is made of dark stoneware clay and is glazed in rutile blue and a rim dip in satin black. the holder, suitable for sponges, bar soap or napkins. it has cut outs that allow either item to rest on and dry as needed, preventing bad odors. the saucer and holder are created as one piece and the variations within the colors and the breaking along the rims of the cup and saucer are charming!

the cup portion measures just under 3 ¼ inches across, the saucer measures just under 5 inches; it is just over 2 ¾ inches tall

while not intended for food or beverage purposes, the holder is made with lead and cadmium free glazes and is dishwasher safe
