dreamy turquoise!!
this wheel-thrown tumbler is made of high-fire stoneware/porcelain mixed clay. it is glazed with bright white on both the interior and exterior with an overlapping dip in dark turquoise. what i find particularly striking is the band of coloring in the middle as the two glazes meet; the white and purple dappling makes me think of whale sharks in water.
as indicated by name, this tumbler features an indentation for a thumb hold for a steady and comfortable grip. it’s especially useful for those with dexterity issues or larger hands without changing the aesthetic appeal and overall shape of the tumbler!
