breaking blue!
this wheel-thrown mug is made of dark stoneware clay which is stretched with sodium silicate creating soft crackling on the exterior body that is highlighted with black iron oxide and then gently polished. the interior and top exterior is glazed in soft cornflower blue that breaks a little on the edges of the handle! cornflower blue seeps into the crackling texture on the front of the mug blurring the line of smooth and textured; i love it!
measurements: 3¾” H; it holds 16 fl oz.
