this wheel-thrown mug is made of high-fire porcelain/stoneware mixed clay. the mug exterior and interior is glazed in corn flower blue with a rim dip in bright white and purple speckling at the rim gives a delightful pop of color! a line of cornflower blue ran down the front of the mug perfectly bisecting it, how fun!
let’s talk about this unique design! originating from feedback received at markets, some mugs have been adjusted to be more accessible for people with large hands, strength or dexterity issues. underneath the handle, the clay wall is indented inward slightly, giving extra room for the knuckles, providing a more comfortable grip and steadying grip.
