beautiful baby blue!

this wheel-thrown bowl is made of red stoneware clay. it is glazed in bright cornflower blue that seems more robins egg blue with the speckling from iron in the clay. near the base of the bowl, a band of bare clay is exposed with decorative lines highlighted in black iron oxide. the gentle indentation near the rim creates a perfect hand hold and completes the polished look!

it measures 2 ½ inches tall and and 5 ¼ inches across
